Rajinikanth’s upcoming action thriller ‘Coolie’ is gearing up to offer fans more than just high-octane stunts. In a recent announcement, production house Sun Pictures confirmed that actress Pooja Hegde will perform a special dance number in the film, adding an exciting musical twist to the blockbuster.

In an energetic update shared on social media, Sun Pictures revealed that Pooja Hegde will be seen shaking a leg to a peppy tune composed by Anirudh. This special number is set to bring an extra dose of glamour and entertainment to ‘Coolie’, promising to be a visual treat for audiences.
Behind the Scenes at ‘Coolie’
The film, directed by Lokesh Kanakaraj, is nearing the end of its shooting schedule. Rajinikanth, the superstar leading the film, had earlier headed to Thailand for a crucial part of the shoot, with sources confirming that 70 per cent of the film was already wrapped up before that schedule. The final stages of filming hint at a tightly orchestrated production, ensuring every element from action sequences to dance numbers is executed flawlessly.
Star-Studded Ensemble Cast
‘Coolie’ boasts an impressive lineup that extends beyond its leading man. The film will feature notable performances from stars such as Telugu actor Nagarjuna, Kannada star Upendra, as well as Soubin Shahir and Sathyaraj. The latter makes a notable comeback, reuniting with Rajinikanth after nearly 38 years—a pairing last seen in the 1986 hit ‘Mr Bharath’. In addition, Bollywood’s Aamir Khan is rumored to make a cameo appearance, while Shruti Haasan, Rebe Monica John, and Junior MGR hold significant roles.

With Anirudh Ravichander providing the musical score and Girish Gangadharan handling cinematography, ‘Coolie’ promises to blend stellar visuals with a dynamic soundtrack. Edited by Philomin Raj and produced under the banner of Sun Pictures, the film is set to revolve around an intriguing plot centered on gold smuggling. Director Lokesh Kanakaraj has clarified that ‘Coolie’ is a standalone project, distinct from his Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
